Kathy Cameron has been riding, training and showing horses for over 35 years. In 2005 she brought her love for the cowgirl lifestyle to the Rancho Cucamonga Police when she joined the all volunteer, Equestrians on Patrol.  She started her volunteer work with both feet running and has never looked back. With over 500 hours of service donated in 2008 she now has 2,233 volunteer hours donated in just 4 years. She currently holds the units elected board position of secretary. She is a member of the unit’s emergency response team, helping animal control with large animal rescues and evacuations. She is part of the Honor Guard for the County Parade Detail riding in over 20 parades including the RC Founders Day, L.A. County Fair, Huntington Beach and Hollywood Santa Parades.

When the call for help goes out, Kathy’s hand is always one of the first in the air to volunteer.  She is in the front row with her 2 beautiful horses Katie and Abby ready to take on what ever challenge arises.  Her love for horses, volunteering and community service is exceptional.  With volunteers like Kathy among their ranks the Rancho Cucamonga Equestrians on Patrol can hold their heads high with professionalism and pride.
